Does it cost anything to list my home?
No. Listing on VillageStay is free. We only earn a commission when you get a booking.
How much of each booking do I keep?
You keep 85–90% of every booking. The rest covers the platform and, if a local volunteer helped you list your home, their share.
How do I get paid?
Add a UPI ID or bank account to your host profile. Every booking and payment is shown in your host dashboard.
What can I offer besides a room?
Home-cooked meals, activities such as farm work, cooking classes, craft sessions and village walks, handmade products, and transport such as a car or bike. Each one is listed and booked separately.
Who decides the price and the dates?
You do. You set the nightly price, can add a weekend surcharge, and can block any dates when you are not available.
How does verification work?
Upload photos of the rooms and a government ID. Our team checks the property, including its location, before your listing goes live. Verified homes show a badge to guests.
I am not comfortable with apps. Can someone help me?
Yes. A VillageStay volunteer from your area can create your account and listing with you, add photos and help with your first guests. The site also works in Hindi and 11 other Indian languages.
